I have recently uploaded most of the songs that played a role in the creation of this story/experience. In order to protect the artists' copyright and prevent the potential of downloading, the music player is invisible. This means that the music will play automatically in your chosen default music player. Dial-up users may find that the music "skips" -- if you allow the song to load completely and then play it through, that might do the trick. Most of the songs are cached in the pages preceding the actual playing so as to eliminate additional loading times. If you don't wish to hear the musical selection, simply turn the volume down on your speakers or headphones. Either way, the music will end when you "turn" the page.

TABLE OF CONTENTS will display a change in color for the pages that have been read. I recommend you use the links to turn each page during your reading session, but return to the contents page before you begin a new reading session so you can accurately determine where you left off.

This story requires a minimum time commitment of three to four hours. Most readers seem to move through the story in two to four sessions, although you are welcome to take your time with it. Please note, in the beginning it does tend to "jump around" a fair bit -- understand, what you are seeing are "fragments" and "pieces of the puzzle" -- the story doesn't maintain that tone throughout. Nonetheless, if you are bored with the story it's probably better to leave it than to leap ahead hoping to understand the ending without having understood the beginning or middle. Likewise, those readers who skip around as if they were sampling from a buffet will likely exit the story without understanding the process that holds it all together.

That said, those who wish to continue can do so here ...
